When I was growing up, my father bought high-end homes, rehab'd them and would ultimately flip. Unfortunately, our family typically lived in the houses as our family home while this was being done. I hated the frequent moves, but I couldn't help but to gain 'vision' for what a property offered. Having later gained extensive market analytic experience running a hedge fund for over a decade, I now apply the same quantitative skills to real estate investing instead. As an example, the ratios I monitor got completely out of whack, catalyzing me to sell all of my holdings late in 2007. We began re-entering the market in 2010 and have done well. I have been the general partner of a real estate partnership for many years. I have experience with fix/flip, single family income property, owner financing, discounted notes, hard money lending, and multi-family (100 units+) investing. I welcome networking with other experienced investors in my region.
