I am a middle-aged, self-employed attorney living in Chicago. After completing a successful live-in fix and flip on my first home several years ago, I always believed that I would continue with real estate investing focused on fix and flips on Chicago's north side. The demands of a law practice and parenting got in the way, and it has taken me too many years to commit to getting back into real estate investing. Joining Bigger Pockets, listening to the podcasts, reading the forums and the recommended books, including the two excellent J. Scott books on flipping has been my first step.
