As of today 6/15/2017 I have not done a real estate deal. The beginning of May 2017 I decided I wanted to get into real estate investing. I began by listening to investors such as Grant Cardone and listening to a couple BP podcasts. I have made it my goal to by the end of the year catch up on all the current podcasts I started at #1 Currently today as of 10:55PM on 6/15/2017 I am on #74. I made it my goal to have at least one deal in contract by the end of this year. For my first deal I want to buy a, buy and hold duplex or bigger. I will live in one side and rent out the other as my primary residence. Fix up my side of the property and at the end of that remodel, and finding another duplex or multiplex, rent out both sides and move into another multiplex and continue this until I either fully supplement my income (on top of having my rent or home mortgage being taken care of by the renters) or having to figure out outside sources for financing deals out of bank loans. At that time if I haven't found a team to build or join, I will hopefully of built up enough of a portfolio to have friends or family invest in me.
