I've bought and sold 4 properties so far. My ex was a builder so after 16 years together he taught me a lot about not only what to look for and how to price stuff but also about carpentry, finish work, drywall, electrical, plumbing, flooring etc. So I'm super comfortable with my own repairs but I'm just as comfortable hiring someone, I just might be picky about it. My educational background is in psychology but my practical and professional one is in cosmetology, fitness and nutrition. I've owned my own business for 21 years so I'm pretty savvy at money, accounting, negotiating, and dealing with people in general. I've got a slew of various credentials, but it seems that's more important for selling services not establishing relationships so I'm not bothering to list any. Plus they're not particularly relevant in this space. I'm hoping to transition from that into full time RE investing. That's actually my goal. I'm looking to buy and hold for air bnb. Browsing deals and looking to purchase at least 5 short term rentals in CO, FL and HI within the next 2 years. In the interim I'm looking to fix and flip or microflip locally to generate capital for down payments. I've got solid lending behind me and I'm very comfortable with all aspects of the buying and selling process as well as rehab. I mostly keep to myself so I'm new to "community" and collaboration but figured I'd give it a whirl. Maybe I'll meet some cool people or great connections.
