Analyzing real estate deals I enjoy reading municipal zoning codes - yes, I'm a bit of a nerd :) - hunting for density bonuses and parking reductions, consulting with city planners, putting together pro formas and finding useful information (e.g., access to water & sewer, plat status, qualified sales comps, etc.). I recently helped a multi-family developer put together a deal for a 50+ unit development. 3. Commercial and residential painting I successfully ran a painting business for 3 years while attending university. By my third summer, I was grossing over $100k in 6 months. I had the opportunity to employ and manage up to six professionals at once, paint entire apartment complexes and multi-million dollar homes.
