Hello to you, the reader of this profile page. I am pleased that you have taken at the very least a curiosity to check out my profile page. You may notice that I have listed nothing under the occupation section. Unfortunately, my current occupation is not involved in any aspect of real estate other then the fact that I do work on a property. That property is currently owned by the state of Michigan, and contains dozens of residents that are not allowed to leave though most will one day be allowed back into the public. As for my exact title, well let’s just say that work can feel like prison sometimes (haha). Seriously though, being a corrections officer can surely have its ups and downs. Overtime is plentiful as well as healthcare benefits, a sense of camaraderie with colleagues, and an understanding that ones situation in life could always be worse. However, like I had said, there are some cons to the profession. Among them would be having to be in a constant state of awareness due to being in an incredibly dangerous environment, coping with a very negative atmosphere, missing out on family events, and feeling a sense of isolation from the outside world (yes, that’s not a feeling exclusive to the inmates). After spending five years in this profession, I’ve come to the realization that I desire more out of life for myself and my family. I want my family to live in safety, for my children to go to the best schools, for my wife to rest easy knowing I’ll always be coming home at night, for the fears of bills and not having enough money to dissipate, to contribute to society in a more proactive fashion, and to have the time freedom to do what I want. Also, a mansion on the ocean’s coast would be cool too. Admittedly, I am a novice to the real estate game, but I am willing to work and learn. Right now, I am eager to network with like-minded people and hopefully explore possible opportunities that can potentially establish mutually profitable relationships in the future.
