My background has involved evaluating difficult transactions, understanding why deals fail conventional underwriting, analyzing property equity and identifying potential paths toward completion, stabilization, refinance or disposition. I'm particularly interested in distressed and underperforming real estate where the underlying asset may still have significant value, but the existing debt, ownership, construction or operating structure prevents that value from being realized. My current focus includes studying equity-preservation strategies, distressed real estate, incomplete construction, value-add projects and alternative capital structures for residential investment, multifamily, mixed-use and commercial properties.
