I've had 3 rental properties but I am still new and wanting to learn all that I can. Two of the properties were actually homes that I had owned to live in but when I moved I just rented them out. The newest one is a home I bought off of a family member that was just tired of dealing with it. So, I haven't really been successful at finding and closing any real deals myself and I would love to be able to make real estate investing my full time hobby and I say hobby because I know it would be much better than having to work for someone else.
