In 2012 my wife and I discovered the FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early) movement. We started saving vigorously and lived in an RV for 7 years to invest as much money as we could. We purchased our first duplex in 2021 and have both units rented as long-term rentals. In January 2022, we closed on our second duplex and we operate both units as short-term rentals. And in July 2022 we closed on our dream home which is on the historical register in downtown Kalispell's historic east neighborhood. It has an ADU that we rent out as a mid-term rental. In March 2023 we closed on an 8-unit mixed-use property! We partnered with Chad (Coach) Carson and converted 2 existing offices into suites and remodeled the other existing 6 suites for a total of 8 units in downtown Kalispell. Our also enjoy mountain climbing, skiing, gravel biking, and RVing.
