I'm currently a full time city planner and my wife works from home part time, we've both always loved the idea of getting into real estate investment and now we are committed! With my professional knowledge of land use planning and future growth within our city I hope we can identify areas where real estate investment could benefit us long term. My wife has accounting, financing, and business management experience and we both have renovated our own house quite extensively and in the process have become familiar with plumbing, electric, hvac, roofing, and everything in between. We are by no means experts, but do have a new level of confidence to complete projects ourselves if needed. Our immediate goal is to secure our first investment property, we are looking for a small multiplex to cash flow for long term buy and hold. We hope to learn as much as possible and then repeat consistently as a means to supplement my full time job and hopefully transition my wife to manage multiple properties for us into retirement. More importantly we eventually hope to pass along to our kids, we currently have two teenagers and a toddler we are trying to manage as well, lots of juggling these days. We love Phoenix, love family bike rides, walking to the park and getting out for activities every chance we get. We also play board games and binge watch movies and tv shows when we aren’t working on home improvement projects or our new real estate investment goals. What we hope to gain on BP is an extended network of knowledge and experience, friendships and maybe one day some partners to carry out similar dreams and goals. I've already learned so much and appreciate the podcasts, forums, and blogs. We do our best to post any deals we are considering to seek opinions and advice as well as share our progress along the way. Any mentor in the phoenix area please don't hesitate to reach out.
