RE is very much part time since I work a great full time non-real estate job in healthcare and my wife is retired. We have really enjoyed acquiring the 5 rental SFHs we have BRRRRed. It's been amazing so far with what little of our own money we have in our properties and how we've been able to grow our small portfolio. I didn't know there was a name for what we were doing until I began listening to Brandon, Josh and David here at BP. I have an hour commute each way which I didn't care for but it turned out to be a blessing allowing me to listen to every podcast (at least once). I feel like I hold a Master's degree from BP University with a major in BRRRR. The podcasts are a powerful education. Although there are competing points of view on some topics, the guests who share their lifetime of experience really clarify and guide my personal journey. BRRR is the formula that is getting us to our retirement goals sooner. There is a lot of satisfaction in buying homes in need of some TLC, fixing them and providing good tenants a nice, affordable place to call home. We are halfway to our goal of 10 doors.
