I have a wife and 5 kids. After spending 14 years in the USAF as an aircraft commender, I went on to fly as a international captain with a major US airline. Twenty one years ago I dove into the markets (equities, bonds, currencies, and related derivatives). Although I had a heck of a ride, I learned quickly there are two overriding concerns that should sit “front and center“ for every serious investor: Control your tax bite and ride with inflation. What I discovered was that properly positioned assets in nearly TAX FREE accounts was crucial. I started my company, Flightpath Financial, to show others how they could employ techniques historically accessible only to the very weathy. No more. Our view is that stuffing every available dollar into qualified plans is not always the best option. We teach. That’s what we do.
