Have been looking into RE investing for a few years now. Started out with a duplex in Indianapolis that I bought right before the pandemic. Sold it in December 2021. After many podcasts, meetups, and conversations with more experienced investors, I decided that going to commercial residential real estate would allow me to reach my goals of financial freedom a lot faster. Closed on a 12 unit in Lansing, IL in December 2021 and have been working on stabilizing the unit. Once the 12 unit is stabilized - the goal will be looking a refinance and approaching some friends and family to see if they want to partner up as we move up in unit count and try to deal source something in the 20-40 unit range.
