Newbie / returning real estate investor. I had one rental house 20 years ago that I made a lot of mistakes on and eventually lost. Years later, better educated and more life experience, I’m ready to try again. Originally, I went to school for residential drafting and design. Over the years, I’ve worked as a surveyor’s draftsman, residential designer, construction superintendent and even a licensed real estate broker. Currently, I work as an outside sales rep for a national building supply company. My primary customer builds 250-300 houses per year. I manage materials in almost every phase of construction. I plan to reactivate my Brokers License as well as obtaining my General Contractors License for future builds. My family’s goal is to build a real estate portfolio that will put my young kids through school, support us through retirement and leave behind a legacy allowing our kids a financial boost after we are gone.
