I have acquired my first rental property. I used my primary residence sitting on a 1 acre lot. I had the house re appraised with current market prices, refinanced and took the money off the back end and build a small barndominium on the second half of the property. The property runs lateral to the street so I put in a new drive way and street access. I moved in the bardominium, did minor updates/repairs to the main house and found great tenants for it. Rented it at $1,500 a month and is cash flowing $600. I am planning on doing fix/flip and wholesale to build more capital for the business and then add more rentals to our portfolio.
