Investor in San Jose, CA Experience: I own a rental property in San Diego which used to be a primary residence. It was a fixer where I did my own tiling, plumbing, electrical, painting, and flooring. I also did some exterior landscaping: drip system, pavers for a front patio, and fencing. Real Estate Goals: I fell into being a landlord on my first property which luckily has been a good investment. I am working to be a serious real estate investor with less luck and more skill and intent. Currently Seeking: My current interest is in multi-family rental properties in less expensive markets than CA. Pittsburgh, PA and Atlanta, GA markets look interesting to me at the moment. I’m looking for small to mid size properties (3 to tens of units), but open to SFR. Being new to real estate investing and the markets I’m also looking for recommended agents, lenders, contractors, and property managers.
