How did I get started in real estate: In college I tried to get my dad to let me use my room and board money for a down payment on a 3br condo that I could lease the other bedrooms to my friends. He said no, so when I graduated I paid of $30k in loans in 18 months so I could get approved for rental property loans. Met my husband and together we bought our first property in 2012.
