My 20 year backround in building and maintenance includes custom european cabinetry, archetecturally engineered exotic hardwood doors, custom tile, hardwood flooring, roofing, wiring, plumbing, excavation, concrete, permaculture design, appliance repair, whew, and all phases of new and remodel residential construction. I am an equal 1/3 partner in ColumbiaRiverKayaking.com a sea kayak eco-touring outdoor education company. Thanks in large part to BiggerPockets.com my understanding and knowldedge of finance and real estate investments is exploding and I am on my way to replacing my earned income and beyond with cashflow from single family rentals. My home is free and clear with a room rented out and I'm shopping a HELOC to fund rehab of a recently vacated two unit property next door, also owned outright. A fourth rental unit is currently lien free and cashflowing nicely in a family partnership. At this phase I am enjoying conducting maintenance, rehab, and property management. Then keep calm and BRRRR on! I like cats, single malt scotch, and long walks on the beach.
