I am an active duty Army medical officer and real estate investor! I closed on a 4-plex in Anchorage, AK in September 2021 that we owner-occupied as our first property, but have since moved out and have it fully rented. We then purchased a SFH in Eagle River, AK and have started an Air BNB unit out of the basement. I am interested in small multifamily and STRs, but know I want to move into the commercial space soon! My active duty contract will have me here in Alaska until late 2024, then I’ll be heading to Utah and plan to become and agent and work with investor clients, primarily focusing on commercial real estate.
