I am 48 year old working single mom in the accounting & HR field and looking for a way to make money so I can retire one day. I never took support from my ex so I worked FT with PT jobs here and there when needed. I received my Bachelor's degree later in life to improve my financial position and just graduated in 2009 prior to my son graduating high school. I have college loans for myself and my son who just graduated last year. There is nothing for retirement and I'm determined to find other ways to make money. I bought my first house July 2013 and I'm in the process of refinancing and pulling the equity out of my primary residence to purchase a 4 unit multi-family. Both loans are scheduled to close at the end of March 2016. So I am researching everything I can find on real estate investing, landlord/tenant rights, and tax consequences.
