My love of real estate began as a teenager when my parents sold our home -- the whole process interested me. After college, marriage, trying a couple of different careers, then "quitting my day job" to stay home with our first child, it was a great time to move into a real estate career. I got my license initially because we wanted to do investments (plus looking at houses is fun and being a realtor provides flexibility, right? read eye-roll here). We actually partnered with my first broker in buying three properties. I eventually got very busy helping others buy and sell. We also were growing our family at the time, and after adopting our third child, it was obvious that the life of a realtor was not serving our family well. Once the kids were older, I decided to become re-licensed. I love real estate. I love helping other people with real estate. It's time for us to focus on our own real estate investments, and I'm excited about that. Besides real estate, I like to travel, read, walk, watch drama and crime shows, old movies, spend time with friends and family, and play games. I'm active in our church and currently serve on our neighborhood HOA board. We have a son in college and two daughters in high school, so family keeps me busy as well. Our daughters have to eat gluten free, so I do a lot of GF cooking and am always interested in new GF products and restaurant options. As far as my career goes, it's not always about the money. I take what I do very seriously, and sometimes work with people who are buying or selling due to very difficult situations -- divorce, foreclosure, the death of a child on the property, the loss of a home due to fire, and even moving to a new city provides it's own sort of grief and challenges. It's my honor and calling to assist people with their real estate needs, and consider their life stages, emotions and needs as well. My goal is not quantity, it's to serve my clients well.
