I am excited about this new chapter in my life: Triumph Properties Lubbock Inc. This opportunity brings me full circle. For the past ten years, with the anniversary September 2016, as the executive director of companion nonprofit organizations that advocate on behalf of energy and the energy industry, I have put all my energies into the politics of energy policy. The political environment during the election about did me in. I am ready for a change and, thanks to my husband, I have the financial freedom to do what I’ve always wanted to do: rehab houses. While doing my energy advocacy work through the election, I read up, met with folks who are involved in comparable activities, and attended the September Lubbock foreclosure auction. I established my new business name, joined the Real Estate Investment Association and watched for appropriate properties. My first flip-house purchase was complete on December 12, 2016. As of early January, we are 2-3 weeks from completion of the full rehab. I post an almost daily video of the progress on Facebook. I have several additional houses in my sites and hope to do 6-8 houses a year. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!
