Mary Hoskins

As a child growing up in an apartment building, not having play space and my own room, I promised myself when I grow up I'm going to have my own house, my own room and own the building I grew up in. I did get my house and own room, married, 2 kids, and a career in IT. But that apartment building, well it was later demolished and rebuilt by someone with "bigger pockets" and more than just dreams. Well I'm an empty nester now, separated and on my own. I've rented out my home to cover my mortgage and am living in my converted detached garage. A very humbling experience. People ask how could you just give up your home like that. I tell them it has served its purpose in my family and extended family and now its time for momma to pursue her dreams. I want to buy or build a duplex or 4 unit building to start and who knows where I'd go from there. A couple years ago I had the opportunity to be a conservator\administrator of a small estate. Small church and 2 homes on a lot with tenants. I learned so much in the process. I was also married to a contractor and watch a lot of DIY and HGTV. I am ready to start this adventure in the real estate world as an in investor. Some buy and hold. Some flips. I'm ready to "Get It!"
