Melinda Vaughn

I was born and raised in San Diego, and started investing in real estate over 10 years ago, tackling several fix n' flips and modified BRRRR strategy investing, while working a corporate (medical sales) job. I soon realized that fix and flips were a grind and traditional single-family rentals in San Diego produced tenant headaches and underwhelming returns. In 2012, my husband, John, and I founded Garner Investment Group to invest in residential property utilizing a niche investment strategy. We acquire residential properties to lease, long-term, to organizations that provide supportive housing services to seniors and people with special needs. There is a tremendous need, and opportunity, for quality homes to help support these individuals. We currently own and manage 6 homes and Master Lease an additional 3 properties to special needs organizations.
