I finally decided at the end of 2022 that I couldn't keep working the same W2 job and expect different results. I'm never going to achieve my financial or family goals living paycheck-to-paycheck nor will I be able to leave a legacy of wealth and financial freedom for my girls. Even though I've always thought I wasn't smart enough and I couldn't figure out how to come up with the funds to invest in real estate, I decided to start educating myself on all things REI. I'm working on changing generational mindsets that have kept me afraid and showing my girls that they can start now and be so much further ahead. I'm excited to connect with other investors and to continue learning through BiggerPockets. I'm working towards paying down debt and creating a vision for where we're headed so we're in a good place to start our investing journey. I know it's a marathon, not a sprint! My day job is marketing and senior organizational project management which I've been doing for the last 16 yrs, within a variety of industries. I'm passionate about positively impacting people lives and strive to do that in whatever role I'm in. Fostering human connection through creativity and innovation is a top motivator for me and I think those skills will serve me well as a property investor. Most importantly, I'm mom to two amazing daughters in their early 20's and I'm SO excited to share this new journey with them so they can be empowered to take control of their own destiny's.
