Michael Volek

Hello everyone! I was born and raised in a small town called Victoria, TX. After I graduated high school I joined the Air Force and was stationed at Kadena Air Base on the island of Okinawa, Japan. It is there where I spent all four years of my enlistment. Once out, I started working for the military as a traveling contractor. That's when I discovered real estate, and coincidentally, BP. BiggerPockets has been a blessing to me. Because of the free, high-quality information we learned here, we have been able to make some critical, well thought-out decisions that have dramatically improved our quality of life. Throughout the years, and even while overseas, I have bought and sold multiple homes, managed long distance flips, created partnerships, raised funds, and my wife and I manage our own rentals. We even do the vast majority of our own renovations! Real estate is a big part of my life and one of my all time favorite topics (it's up there with the UFC!) These days, my wife, Jennifer, and I are interested in growing our rental portfolio while creating new, happy, and fruitful relationships with other investors in our area.
