I am a software engineer (27 years) for a major bank. I have wanted to do real estate rentals for many years now, but had the knocking knees. I have been doing much more investigation and educating myself. The more I do, like the information here on bigger pockets, the better I feel about my plan in Real Estate investing. Example of the Bigger Pockets education. Before BP, I was planning on buying a SFH, managing it myself and buying local. Since BP, I am now interested in Multi-Family, paying a property manager and looking all around the country. My 2020 goal is to buy my first Rental property. Preferably a multi family and then get experience and grow from there. With more purchases planned in 2022.
