After being in the mortgage financing industry since 1995 I decided to go into real estate investing in June 2005 and help buyers with purchasing. I went into investing at the worst time but I learned so much and I'm still here. Have I dealt with wanna be Guru's? Absolutely, but I noticed when I was being fed BS by many of them. I've always said if you'really going to invest then invest in yourself first. My knowledge of the mortgage industry helped me more than you can imagine especially when the Guru's mentioned refinancing if necessary if you can't sell it. So if you're interested in RE investing keep in mind "there are no secrets". We live in an information age. So don't be so anxious to fork up the money without doing your due deligence.
