Nick Kent

My Name is Nick and I'm currently in my last year and a half of getting my degree in Business Administration at the University of San Diego. I've always been a "wheeler and dealer" and a hustler in one way or another (all legal lol). I feel passionately about real estate, and my recent discovery of being able to get into it starting as a wholesaling has, in a way, put wind in my sails because it doesn't feel out of reach (just a lot of hard work, which I'm fine with). My goal is to already have some momentum in this industry by the time I graduate in order to avoid the cubicle that possibly has my name on it. I'm very hands on and love talking to people and networking. If I sound like someone you would be interested in networking with don't hesitate to reach out to me! I came to San Diego via the Navy. I enlisted in the Navy under a Navy SEAL contract. After entering under a SEAL contract I went through Pre-BUD/s then was stationed at Coronado island for BUD/s Indoc. Then eventually entered Phase training of the Navy SEAL training. The constant bombardment of mental stress and constant reminder (via megaphone) that you won't see your family and visual representation that there is a very good chance that you will die and leave your family didn't sit well with me. I remained in the training for roughly a year and a half after getting rolled for a fractured metatarsal in my left foot. I eventually decided this was not a life that I wanted to lead. Even though it was my decision and not the fact that I had failed at anything (I was more then able to hold high standards in all evolutions). I still felt as though I had failed. That moment is imbedded in me for the rest of my life, which I'm happy for. Because I will do anything and everything in order to protect myself from feeling that type of "failure" ever again. I apply this to all aspects of my life. For that, I'm very very fortunate to have had that life experience. It's built a tenacity in me that would have been hard to build on my own. It's also created incredible resilience, persistence and a resounding amount of mental toughness in general.
