Currently a full time Project Manager for a construction management company, but looking to build a portfolio of cash flow income properties. I've told myself for years that I wanted to invest in real estate, but like many I never pulled the trigger. Just recently (past 3 months) I have started to commit more and start putting pieces together to get prepared to jump in head first. I'm almost done reading Brandon Turners book "The Book on Rental Property Investing", and I've ordered "Never split the difference. I've been listening to a lot of the pod casts on my drive to and from work trying to soak up as much as possible. The tools this platform has and the information at our fingertips is really impressive. Looking forward to meeting the community and hopefully continue to learn from everyone here and become successful in the rental property business. Target Homes: MFR's with light Rehab - I have the ability to self perform flooring, paint and some relatively minor construction activities so i would like to use that to my advantage. Financial Goal: 10% Cash positive, while putting the 10% casflow into saving with regular salary savings to purchase a second unit within 2 years. and repeat until I either sell and upgrade or group refinance and buy more doors.
