Born in Queens NY, raised and lived in Brooklyn NY, until I joined the military in 1991 which brought me to Norfolk VA, where I lived for a little over 2.5 years. Moved back to NY for about 5 years, then moved to NC in 2000 and been here ever since. I found myself unemployed and living off savings for almost 6 yrs (2008-2013). Desperate for an income, I began doing property preservation for various companies. Before I could get them insured, I lost my equipment in a hit and run accident, had to step back to doing Occupancy Verification, Merchant Site Inspections, Vehicle Inspections and other types of Inspections for companies. I caught the Real Estate bug in 2013 while doing an inspection for FNMA. Life has a way of making you wanna change how things are going on in yours, lol. I began reading, watching videos and attended a few seminars and webinars, didn't have the money to invest in the educational courses that were being offered, so I've been putting together pieces of the puzzle little by little and I am beginning to see the proverbial 'bigger picture'. I am now a member of the Triad REIA Group here in NC. A few days ago, don't remember where or how I got to it but, I landed on the Bigger Pockets website and figured I may as well browse through it. Did that for a few hours and decided to join after a day or 2 of pondering the benefits. I am at the point now where I know I need to begin networking and being more social if I want my efforts to be fruitful. I am at the newbie wholesaler stage, still learning how to find properties, qualify sellers and build a buyers list. I have come up with a few creative ways to find both but I am still working on how to implement them. The traditional ways are getting saturated, lol. With that being said, I am open to any and all suggestions. I can guarantee they will be greatly appreciated. Feel free to constructively criticize any and all posts I may make. I am here to learn and grow. To all...I look forward to meeting, networking and hopefully working with as many like-minded professionals and newbies alike.
