I’m currently an attorney and real estate investor. I started REI in June 2010 by purchasing a duplex. I bought the property in the dead of winter, gutted it, and slowly brought it back to life. I lived in one side for close to 3 years and rented out the other side where I learned many valuable lessons on how to be an effective landlord. Since June 2010, I've purchased 13 total investment properties in 3 states and self-manage them with my wife and family. I’m a judge advocate in the Air Force and currently assigned as an instructor at the Judge Advocate General’s School, Maxwell AFB, AL.
