I'm 29 and active duty in the TX National Guard & live in Austin TX. I'm married to a wonderful, supportive, smart women and we have a 3 year old son. My wife and I purchased our first home in south austin about 4 years ago and managed to rack up some debt. Sense then we have been using the Dave Ramsey's plan to get out of debt and started saving. Thinks are looking good. I've been interested in real estate investing ever sense I read Rich Dad Poor Dad about 8 years ago. Finally I feel that my family and I are on our way to being in a position to start investing. I'm here to learn as much as I can. I would prefer to start with rental properties and my goal is to buy my first one within a year or two. My wife seems more interested in flipping houses in the mean time. Witch after I learn more about it I don't think I would be apposed to. So we have some learning to do. Until the time comes we will just keep saving up...
