I am a full time account manager for a manufacturing company in Massachusetts but live and invest in Rhode island. I love business, traveling, boating, fitness,reading and anything to do with an adventure. Experience: Since the early 2000's I have wanted to break into the real estate investing market but for one reason or another it was not the right time. I have over the past 27 years built 6 different homes for my personal residence and have owned vacation rental property in Florida. In 2013 I took advantage of the market crash and jumped into the real estate market with both feet. I started my company Modern Properties, LLC in 2013 and never looked back. My goal was and still is to buy & hold multi-family properties, as well as to flip homes using the BURRR stratagy. I purchased our first 3 family property in the Spring of 2013, it was a completely rehabbed property that we purchased from a local builder/friend and have had tremendous success with it. We then purchased our second property in Fall of 2015 which was a 3 unit with a 6 bay garage in the rear of the property. This property needed roughly $25,000 worth of rehab work which we did ourselves. It may be worth noting that I owned my own construction business for 18 years from (1990 -2008), The second property has been a serious money maker for us and introduced us to the market for storage rentals. We are now almost 7 years into this business and always setting are goals very high for the future. Real Estate Goals: Our plan is to continue buying 3-8+ unit multi-families in hopes of having at least 30-50 units in the next 5-8 years. We also plan on doing a few flips along the way. Currently Seeking: Education in flipping houses and BRRR properties. We are also always on the look out for great real estate deals that meet our real estate goals.
