Hello Everybody! I am a recent NYU grad, currently living in SoCal, who is looking for the best methods to develop passive income. At 23 years old, I have decided to bet on real estate, so now - in quarantine - I'm soaking up every book/podcast I can to learn the right skills for the job. What type of REI do I want to explore? First, I am looking for a long distance SFR rental to gain the hands-on (or almost hands-on) experience needed to succeed in this business. Hopefully, I'll have the opportunity to work with a small turnkey company that can hold my hand through the beginner stages. What is the long term REI goal? I would like to build a local, humble, small multifamily portfolio which I hope to learn to manage myself. Why REI? Simply put, I don't want to tie up my freedom and family in a 9-5 job. I want to witness all of my children's first and have the opportunity to take them and myself across the world. Hopefully, if I do it right, real estate will help me achieve that.
