I am a I.T. guy (cybersecurity and Cloud) in Dallas, and I'm a former fix n flip investor who held a real estate license in Arizona in 2006/7. Ten + years later, I'm looking to get back into flipping homes and buy n holds in the Dallas area. Working first on eliminating ALL debt. Once that is accomplished, looking at a duplex to start with (house hacking). 4-plexes soon thereafter. US Navy Vet. Former copywriter and marketing coach (I like change and challenge, if you can't tell). Experience: I fixed and flipped about a dozen lower-end SFRs plus several primary residences, all bought as serious fixers. Also bought a few new build rentals in Albuquerque back in 2006. Did the whole foreclosure / Bankruptcy thing when the market tanked in 2007. Gotta love intense market cycles that shift on a dime. In 2015-2016 I started building a tiny house on wheels (THOW) that I now live in near Desoto. Its nice to have a movable home that will last as long as I will, and I love living simply and affordably, surrounded by pasture. I'm also a cryptocurrency investor and blockchain technology enthusiast. Real Estate Goals: Buy and hold 3 cash flow positive rentals (BRRR) over the next 2 years. Currently Seeking: Need a better understanding of the local RE market / property values in Dallas.
