My introduction to real estate was in buying my first home in 2014. I unexpectedly needed to move and had rehabbed it while living there. I ended up selling it in 2016 and making a profit. The same year, I bought my next primary and over time fixed it up and ended up adding another bedroom and .75 bathroom. It appreciated from $214k to $340k and I pulled a HELOC off of it to get my first investment property in 2021. I bought a 4/1.5 SFH and have been renting it since February 2021. In October, I closed on a duplex and now live in one side and rent the other. Instead of selling the home I bought in 2016, I decided to rent that also. After the two deals in 2021, I realized I was paying a lot to realtors for my deals and decided to get my license. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ I have been a licensed investor friendly real estate agent since December 2021. So far, I have helped a few aspiring investors to house hack their first 2-4 unit using FHA. In July 2022, I quit my corporate banking job of 12 years to pursue my realtor/real estate investing career.
