Misty Alderman

In my previous life, I was in the environmental field doing a wide variety of jobs - I got paid (though not much!) by being outside doing fulfilling work. Now I have a desk job and trying to set myself up to have the opportunity to break away from it eventually. Got into the RE field by becoming an accidental/long distance landlord during the crash, then learned of the many possibilities it could afford us in the path to independence. I enjoy fixing up homes and renting them to great tenants (currently have 3 SFRs rented primarily to graduate students). Recently completed 1 rehab project and presently working on the next. Love the satisfaction of using my own hands to restore charm to older homes and make them pleasant places to be! Want to acquire more rentals, do flips on the side and learn about creative business and taxing strategies.
