As I'm sure many on this site can relate, Robert Kiyosaki's Guide to Investing is what first got me interested in this idea of financial freedom and passive income as a means to get there. I've always been an extremely hard worker - what drives my work ethic is this idea that one day I wont have to work so hard - the systems and businesses I work hard building today will generate the passive income that will allow me to live the life I desire in the future. Actually that mindset got me straight to burnout. I had to tweak my mantra to include taking breaks to live life in the present and enjoy the NOW. While the progress has been a little slower, I have my sanity and a fulfilling life to enjoy while still making progress on my ultimate goal of financial freedom. I have a full time job in finance and two businesses I manage, one in manufacturing and one in property management. What I love about real estate investing is that my rentals bring in consistent passive income every month. When I compare the input and output in terms of labor and profit with my other streams of income - real estate always wins! Because of this reality, I've been more focused on building my wealth through real estate investing. I also obtained my real estate license, looking to help other investors fulfill their dream of financial freedom as well as offer a property management solution for those investors looking to escape the headaches of self-management.
