Life: Steve: I am currently a Journeyman Lineman, but after starting a family and more than 10 years in the trade, I realize time with my family outweighs the high demands of my profession. This inspired me to act and begin building my real estate portfolio, as this will allow me to work less and enjoy the little things in life! Jordyn: I have a Bachelors in Criminal Justice, Masters in Forensic Psychology and am currently working on my real estate license. After becoming a mother, my outlook on life shifted from an aspiring forensic psychologist toward a more family-friendly livelihood. This brought me to real estate investing! Together, we are happily married with two young boys and ready to dive deep into real estate investing! Real Estate Experience: Steve • Currently own two rentals in Southern California • Flipped first house in 2018 (and finished in the green!) • House hacked two properties by 25 years old (before I knew what house hacking was) • Real estate appraiser (2003-2008) Jordyn • Relatively new to real estate investing! • Currently own two rentals with my husband in Southern California • Working to receive real estate license Goals: Our goals are driven by our desire to succeed and live financially free while we are still a young family. More specifically, we are actively looking to invest in buy-and-hold single family residences and small multi-family units. Using the BRRRR strategy, our primary focus is building passive income through other markets, as Southern California’s market is diluted with high home values and minimal cash-flowing properties.
