Thomas Caridi

I'm a data engineer in Philadelphia and an aspiring real-estate investor. I spent most of my 20s blowing all of my money on travel and fun, which I don't necessarily regret because it involved living in Italy for 3 years and seeing the entire country via motorcycle, but after returning to the states in 2015 I've become more focused on personal finance. I stumbled on the BP podcast in 2017 and it has inspired me to seriously get involved in REI. I bought my first fixer-upper in Philadelphia as my primary residence in May 2019 with the goal of keeping it as a long-term rental. I rehabbed it with a $60K home equity loan and cash-out refi'd in 2021. I'm still searching for my next deal which will ideally be a small multi-family (or SFH on a block zoned for multi-family) that I can BRRRR.
