Hi everyone! I currently live in Fort Collins CO, where the market has done really well and I've been able to reap some of the equity benefits of purchasing there. I don't own any rental properties there, but I do have a rental in Charlotte NC that was my first house before the 2008 recession. Held onto the property and rented it when I moved to Colorado so I wouldn't take a loss on the sale and now it's become a nice write-off for me as well as allowing it to appreciate back to what it was prior to the recession and beyond. This sparked my interest in real estate as a means of side income and I'd like to get my ducks in a row financially so that I can put money towards other properties and continue to grow my portfolio.
