I am in the social work field and my husband, Bradley, is in the marketing and web development field. We have two daughters, age 10 and age 23. Bradley and I have read and listened to so many books on personal development and real estate investing. We plan to purchase our first rental (SFR or MFR) in 2021. We also discovered STR units and STR arbitrage which is very intriguing! Our goal is to live off our units in retirement. We created a Business Plan and updated it last year. Our first step was to pay off all bad debt, which we did! Our second step is to pay down our HELOC to buy our first rental, which we are in the process of doing. We just recently got our LLC- Mansa Musa Properties, LLC which makes this all more official. We are action-takers so once that ball starts rolling, it will be a huge snowball in the end! We also have a goal to rent warm (preferably in PDC, MX) and live there six months out of the year in retirement. Would love to rove retire too. Anyone with experience? Advice?
