Thomas Hennessey

Thomas Hennessey is the Co-Founder of West 4th, LLC and actively serves as its Manager. With a background in law and real estate brokerage, Thomas capitalized on his knowledge of the housing market along with strict and disciplined investing principles. Thomas's legal background provides guidance for West 4th to acquire courthouse mortgage foreclosures as well as REO bank owned properties. In addition to diligent efforts at the courthouse, Thomas researches emerging neighborhoods and utilizes direct mail marketing to discover potential acquisitions. During his time as a real estate broker since 2008, Thomas has viewed hundreds of homes and has an excellent understanding of the right floor plan and finishes to maximize both rental and equity value in an investment. As West 4th seeks to acquire distressed properties, Thomas is critical in establishing the renovation plan to achieve the best return on investment. Thomas specializes identifying properties with the perfect combination of a strong annual rental return and the opportunity to increase value through rehabilitation. From his success in West 4th, Thomas authored Working with Residential Investors: A Practical Approach. In 2014, Thomas's manual was approved by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission as a certified Continuing Education Elective Course for North Carolina licensed brokers. Thomas is a graduate of New York University where he majored in Communications and Economics while also serving as the Senior Class President of the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. After NYU, Thomas enrolled in law school at Campbell University in Raleigh, NC where he was a member of the National Trial Team. Thomas has been married to his wife Jessica for five years. In their spare time, Jessica and Thomas love the beach, skiing, basketball, and traveling.
