Toby Vockrodt

I am a software engineer and have taken a serious interest in REI and investing in general in the recent months. I have recently stabilized my finances after years of unmanageable student loan payments and though I am not yet free of my debt, I have at least been freed to dedicate my life to my future. I work abroad but I am thinking about moving my software career to southern California and I also have my family roots in the Denver area. My parents own property in Aurora, CO and Chandler, AZ. Because I am not physically in the United States, I am hoping to connect with people online since I am not able to attend meetups for the time being. I do actually love my job, but I can see that it will not bring me financial freedom. With that said, I would like to invest my time and money in markets and strategies that are passive enough to allow me to continue in my career while having a strong REI side hustle. However, I do LOVE the idea of fixing houses and other active forms of investing excite me. I'll be continuing to determine and develop my niche/strategies as I continue to learn.
