Like everyone else, throughout my life I have asked myself, "What do I want to be?" And like most people that just meant what do I want as a career. Halfway through university I realized I don't like the idea of tying my identity to a job and I don't like the idea of doing one thing for the rest of my life. I want the freedom to change jobs at a whim whether that be flying to Cambodia to help build houses or to the rocky mountains to be a white water rafting instructor. Real estate is my pathway to that lifestyle. I started off with a few buy/holds in my hometown of Edmonton, Alberta, found a great partner and dived into flipping which we are trying to streamline into a full on business. On all of our properties so far we have done the work ourselves but look forward to having a team that does all the grunt work so we focus on the big picture. We are now finding some of the more creative financing pathways and are looking to the United States to do some cross border deals.
