Jeffrey Tripp

Newbie Investor, Jeffrey Tripp from Fresno, California. I am currently working full time as a Commercial/ Industrial electrician. My partner and I got our business license to begin working as a general contractor with the intent of building a network that will help us on our end goal of our partnership. The end goal in mind is to invest in real estate and build a large portfolio, evolving the company into something more than just being a general contractor. As an electrician, being in the trade and usually keeping a steady paycheck, you need to travel long distances every day. During an 8 month long job that was 2.5 hours one way, I carpooled with my foreman. During this time in 2014, my foreman bought a duplex and was house hacking his way to financial freedom. During the long drive to and from work, all he listened to were podcasts and an occasional book. At first, the only way to describe it, was that the listening was a bit awkward. Then they got interesting, and I heard bits and pieces of "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" , The Tim Ferris podcast & Bigger Pockets podcast. 4 years later, I bought Robert Kiyosaki’s book, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". and listened to the BP podcast. After listening to episode 300 on the Bigger Pockets podcast, Brandon Turner, David Greene & Joshua Dorkin have inspired me to finally move forward with the business and ask for help.
