Troy Ross

Troy had a distinguished career in law enforcement from 1990 until late 2006 serving as a police officer working with the Virginia Commonwealth University police force. In 2005, Troy teamed up with Deb and together they formed the Richmond Real Estate Investors Association. He left the police department in late 2006 to focus full time on his real estate investing business and to found a family owned general contracting business with his father. In early 2007, the seeds of the real estate meltdown were beginning to bloom and the downturn in the economy caused credit to tighten. Home values declined and disposable income practically disappeared for most homeowners. It became evident that general contracting alone was not going to sustain his family. Although Troy still keeps his hands in his real estate investment business, he and his father decided to close down their general contracting company. Today he brokers rehab loans to real estate investors. In the summer of 2002, Troy married his wife, Rachel and together they have three boys. Troy and his family currently live in Henrico County.
