To me, financial independence is the ability to spend as much time as I want camping and traveling with my dog, Maggie, and my chosen family. I have decided upon real estate as my path to financial independence because this is a problem that will ALWAYS need to be solved. People will always need a place to live, so there will always be demand in one form or another. I eventually want to master 2-3 strategies to cover all aspects of the market cycle. I'm an INTJ introvert, so networking will be my greatest challenge to overcome. On the other hand, I'm fantastic at data analysis and planning. My current habits: • study 1 BP webinar, podcast, or blog post per day • analyze 5 properties per week • participate in 5 forum threads per week • consistently add to my business plan each week • read 2 real estate business books per week • participate in local REI meet ups I plan to start with a small multi-family house hack and BRRRR. If I had unlimited funds, I would build a "luxury" mobile home park geared toward affordable housing for the blue collar families that are being pushed out of the Boise market. Think double wides with fantastic landscaping, a greenbelt, and a large community park with a playground, splash pad, and dog park.
