Hi all! My wife and I are originally from Florida and currently live in Canton, GA. We both have W2 jobs and love what we do (both in the medical field, with her in nursing school and an ER tech in the hospital, and myself being a full-time firefighter/ paramedic)! We have recently became obsessed with REI and are preparing to take the leap of faith. I have a decent foundation and knowledge in construction from firefighting and also I have helped my dad rebuild and renovate a few homes. My wife and I bought a fixer upper as our first home and successfully remodeled and flipped in order to build a larger home in preparation for our first child due in August. Ultimately, as is the case with most, I want financial freedom for my family and recently came across the Bigger Pockets podcasts. We are currently obtaining as much knowledge as possible to prepare for the purchase of our first rental property!
